Story;


Dr. Stephen Strange, a highly accomplished but egotistical neurosurgeon, is involved in a serious vehicle accident that leaves him with extensive nerve damage in his hands, thereby ending his medical career. Seeking a method to reclaim his hands, he travels to Nepal in search of the enigmatic Ancient One, a sorcerer who teaches him the mysteries of the mystical arts.


Strange learns about a former disciple of the Ancient One, Kaecilius, who has fallen to the dark side and is attempting to summon the great Dormammu, lord of the Dark Dimension, to destroy the Earth and usher in an era of perpetual existence. Strange, along with his colleagues sorcerers Karl Mordo and Wong, must use his newly discovered skills to halt Kaecilius and prevent Dormammu from swallowing the planet.


Strange is actually the Time Stone, one of the Infinity Stones sought for by the ruthless Thanos, as he seeks to grasp his abilities. Strange, with the assistance of the Ancient One, uses the Time Stone to construct a time loop and lock Dormammu in an endless cycle of defeat.


Strange eventually returns to New York City, where he establishes a sanctum to defend the world from mystical perils. Mordo's disenchantment with the Ancient One's teachings is also revealed to him, as he feels that magic should not be used to change the natural order of the universe, and that sorcerers like Strange imperil it. Mordo exits the sanctum, indicating the possibility of a sequel.


Strange accepts his job as the Sorcerer Supreme, the guardian of the Earth against supernatural threats, near the end of the film, and takes on a new student, a former surgeon. He also uses the Time Stone to heal his hands, finally coming to terms with his past and accepting his new existence as a mystical arts master.
