Story;
The Gladers are transferred to a facility controlled by Janson, a representative of the World in Catastrophe: Killzone Experiment Department (WCKD), the organisation responsible for the maze, after their recovery. The Gladers are told that they have been infected with the Flare virus, which is wreaking havoc on the world's population, and that they are resistant to it.
Thomas, on the other hand, is wary of Janson and the true objectives of WCKD, and he and his comrades depart the facility, fleeing into the Scorch desert. They face new problems and perils there, such as diseased humans known as Cranks and a group of rebels lead by a guy named Jorge and his protege Brenda.
As they travel across the Scorch, Thomas and the Gladers realise that they are not the only ones resistant to the Flare, and that others are battling against WCKD's authority. The group must negotiate the Scorch while avoiding WCKD soldiers and Cranks in order to reach the rebel stronghold and learn the truth about their past and immunity to the virus.
Finally, "Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials" continues the story of Thomas and the Gladers as they travel a new treacherous territory, encounter new challenges, and meet new allies and foes while learning the truth about their past and immunity to the deadly virus.
