Adipurush is a 2023 Indian Hindi-language epic action drama film directed by Om Raut and produced by T-Series, KriArj Entertainment, and Retrophiles' Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Om Raut, and Prasad Sutar. Prabhas plays Ram, Saif Ali Khan plays Ravana, and Kriti Sanon plays Sita in the film. It is based on the Hindu classic Ramayana and follows Ram, a prince who goes out to save his wife Sita from the demon ruler Ravana.

The movie was released on January 12, 2023. Critics gave it mixed reviews, with some appreciating the cast's performances and the visual effects and others criticising the film's length and violence. Despite the film's negative reviews, it was an economic success.


Here's a quick synopsis of the plot:


Ram is the prince of Ayodhya, an ancient Indian country. He is a gentle and sensitive man, and his people adore him.
Sita is a lovely princess from Mithila, another ancient Indian country. She is compassionate, bright, and self-assured.
Ravana is a powerful demon king who controls over Lanka. He is harsh and ruthless, and everyone who knows him fears him.
Ram and Sita marry after falling in love. Ravana, on the other hand, kidnaps Sita and takes her to Lanka. Ram sets out to rescue Sita, accompanied by his brother Lakshman and a band of devoted followers.


Ram and his army travel to Lanka to battle Ravana's soldiers. Ram defeats Ravana and saves Sita after a lengthy and brutal struggle. Ram and Sita return to Ayodhya and are reunited with their people, where they live happily ever after.


Adipurush is an aesthetically pleasing film with some excellent action sequences. The cast's performances are also excellent, with Prabhas, Saif Ali Khan, and Kriti Sanon all offering unforgettable performances. However, the picture is rather long and, at times, quite violent. Overall, Adipurush is a good film worth seeing for the visual effects and acting, but it is not without flaws.
