Fontaine joins forces with Slick Charles (David Alan Grier), a pimp indebted to him, and Yo-Yo (Teyonah Parris), a sex worker who witnessed his purported death, to learn the truth behind his clone status. They start on an investigation together, revealing disturbing information: a government entity is responsible for cloning people in The Glen and using them in hidden experiments.

Nixon (Kiefer Sutherland) is the mastermind behind this evil project, and he has a twisted fascination with controlling the Black population. As Fontaine, Slick, and Yo-Yo race against the clock, their aim is to foil Nixon's intentions and prevent him from unleashing a clone army on the world.

Fontaine wrestles with serious issues about his own life and mortality during their voyage. Despite the fact that he is a clone, he recognises that he has a full existence with significant relationships, family, and friends, refusing to be reduced to a mere tool for Nixon's warped objectives.
The trio's efforts lead to revelations regarding The Glen's large number of clones, all of whom are fighting for their freedom and against harsh government surveillance.

In his feature picture directorial debut, Juel Taylor's "They Cloned Tyrone" expertly combines visual attractiveness with a fast-paced plot, delivering an engaging and amusing experience. The film successfully examines themes of identity, mortality, and the far-reaching impact of government control, thanks to John Boyega's stunning performance as Fontaine, as well as Teyonah Parris and David Alan Grier's great contributions.

"They Cloned Tyrone" is a unique blend of science fiction, comedy, and mystery that entertains while prompting discussion about society issues. Taylor's deft direction creates a visually appealing universe while keeping a balance of suspense and humour throughout the picture.
