In addition, Shahul reveals the history of Kotha's underworld. Kannan Bhai had earlier been Raju Madrassi's right-hand man, a brutal mobster who had previously ruled Kotha. Raju, on the other hand, inexplicably vanished from Kotha, leaving Kannan Bhai in charge.

Shahul is determined to put a stop to Kannan Bhai's reign of terror, but he realises he can't do it alone. As a result, he decides to seek Raju's assistance and eventually persuades him to return to Kotha.
Raju's return to Kotha sets in motion a chain of events that culminates in a brawl between him and Kannan Bhai. Raju eventually succeeds and reclaims his status as King of Kotha.
"King of Kotha" delves behind the surface of this mafia story to examine nuanced themes of friendship, loyalty, and treachery, with the complex relationship between Raju and Kannan Bhai being one of its most captivating parts.

A intriguing subplot featuring a love triangle between Raju, his lover Tara, and a Bombay-based journalist is also woven throughout the picture. This subplot adds layers of depth to the story, making it even more compelling.

Several recurring themes emerge from "King of Kotha," including:
The power of Friendship and Loyalty: The film emphasises the power of bonds between people and the lengths they will to for one another.

The Dangers of Ambition and Greed: It explains how unrestrained ambition and greed can lead to a criminal career.

Standing Up for What Is Right: The film emphasises the need of standing up to injustice and the corrupting impact of power.

Love plays an important role in the lives of the characters, providing them with the opportunity for redemption and reform.

Finally, "King of Kotha" is a masterfully produced and engaging film that will appeal to aficionados of gangster films. Aside from its gripping crime drama, it exposes important societal concerns and digs into the complex web of human relationships, making it an intriguing and thought-provoking cinematic experience.
